The N-VA MEPs are the best in Flanders

A KU Leuven report shows that the N-VA MEPs were the most active of all Flemish MEPs. Johan Van Overtveldt, Assita Kanko and Geert Bourgeois all excelled in legislative work during the past administrative period. Van Overtveldt was also recently chosen as the “most influential MEP”.

The scores in the screening were determined by the number of times that MEPs participated as a rapporteur or shadow rapporteur in the drafting of new European regulations. Our three European representatives finished in first place (Johan), second place (Assita) and third place (Geert).

Moreover, Johan Van Overtveldt was named the “most influential MEP” this year. According to the EU Influence Index, he was the most important voice within the European Chamber on budget policy. Important legislation was passed under his leadership.
