Ten measures for entrepreneurs

During this legislation period, the N-VA will make an end to a policy that punishes entrepreneurship instead of valuing it. Instead, we offer an ambitious policy with structural reforms that will breathe new life into self-employed entrepreneurs because they are the cornerstone of our economy and the source of our prosperity.
- We have earmarked three billion euros to reduce labour costs. We will put together all the cost reductions, temporarily stop the indexation and keep on moderating wages.
- We will reduce the employer contribution to 25 percent during this legislation period. We will give starters an extra boost: you will receive an extra cost reduction for your first three employees, including student workers.
- We will focus more on e-government, making your contacts with the authorities more efficient and less paper-consuming. A unique enterprise counter reduces your administrative load even further.
- We will provide high-quality, affordable daycare. Priority will be given to children with working parents in this regard. This way, combining work and family will become much easier for you and your employees.
- We have revoked the tax on the liquidation

Career break for the calculation of, specifically, civil servant’s pension. In order to obtain the annual pension amount in the public sector, the reference salary is multiplied by the number of employment years. That result is then multiplied by the 1/60 career break, the so-called bonus. An advantageous break applies for certain employees, so that they can reach the maximum pension more quickly.

. The temporary transitional measure has been made permanent.
- We’ve gotten rid of the sky-high fines. We substantially decreased the special tax of 309 percent on so-called secret commission wages.
- We match your social contributions to your actual job situation and make sure that the rights acquired in this way are in correct proportion to those contributions.
- The longer you work, the higher your pension rates. If you have turned 65 or have worked for 45 years, you can earn unlimited additional income as a working pensioner.
- We will guarantee you a higher minimum pension rate, even if you have not been self-employed throughout your entire career.
- You no longer need to have a company to be eligible for an additional pension.
