The opposition of the Brussels PS to unsedated slaughter is incomprehensible

The Brussels N-VA criticised the decision of the Brussels PS to oppose the ban on unsedated slaughter in the capital. The N-VA submitted a draft ordinance to the Brussels parliament some time ago to ban unsedated slaughter.

“Hopefully, the other parties will continue to support the ban, as in the Walloon and Flemish regions,” says Brussels group chair Cieltje Van Achter. “I recently visited a slaughterhouse and saw with my own eyes how ritual slaughter clearly causes animal suffering. It is high time that animal welfare is also taken seriously in Brussels!”
