The N-VA is advocating a safe economic restart: “there is no contradiction between the economy and health.”

“Advocating an economic restart is not at odds with a health policy.” The N-VA is advocating a safe economic restart. “Do we focus on the economy, or do we focus on health? This has been interpreted too much as contrary objectives by some parties in recent weeks.” However, according to the N-VA, the opposite is true. “The greatest solidarity we can now exercise for all people not working in the health sector is to return to work in safe conditions as soon as possible.”

Relaxing measures in residential care centres: the right choice from a human perspective

The N-VA responds to the contested announcement by the Security Council that visits to residential care centres will soon be possible again under certain conditions. “From a deeply human perspective, that is the right choice. It is about people who are suddenly cut off from friends and acquaintances. For some, the ending of the measures may come too late. It seems to me that looking for ways to keep those people from spending what may be their last weeks in total isolation is the right choice.” According to the N-VA, communication about the relaxation could have been handled more effectively.
