N-VA requests neutrality for counter staff
The N-VA wants a generally applicable principle of neutrality for local, Flemish and federal civil servants. Every citizen is entitled to neutral services. One of the freedoms of the citizen is not to be confronted by the beliefs of the civil servant at the counter. Therefore, according to the N-VA, conspicuous external symbols of a religious, philosophical, political (or otherwise) nature may not be worn by a civil servant who comes in direct contact with citizens.
