Assita Kanko to participate in European investigative mission to Malta

MEP Assita Kanko is taking part in a European investigative mission to Malta on 3 and 4 December. The impetus is the murder of journalist and blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia in 2017. “In the first place we are going to make an inventory of the situation there and talk with a great many people, like the President of the Republic of Malta, the attorney general, people from the public prosecutor’s office, but also the family of the journalist who was murdered,” says Assita Kanko. It is hoped that the research committee will publish an initial report on Wednesday.
