N-VA features in 97 per cent of all Flemish municipalities

19 September 2012

In Flanders, the N-VA has put forward candidates in 298 of the 308 municipalities (97 per cent) for the municipal elections. Unlike the traditional parties, the N-VA has been bold enough to attract voters with a completely independent list in all 13 cities. The N-VA even has independent lists in 10 of the 19 municipalities in the Brussels-Capital Region. “A lot of work has gone into this, including five substantial conference days and three practical training sessions for our local board,” says Chairman Bart De Wever. “With Movement leaders in every province and with the patronage of members of Parliament, we have spared no effort in building on existing departments and starting up brand new ones. On 14 October, we hope to eliminate a considerably bigger portion of the deficit than the traditional parties can manage. I therefore call on voters who have the N-VA’s philosophy at heart to come along on 14 October and give the N-VA a hearty boost.”
